Almost Spring like

Texas weather can be so crazy. Early this week it snowed, but today was beautiful! It was almost Spring like outside. We jumped on the chance to enjoy some nice weather, and spent the afternoon outside blowing some bubbles.

Snow in Texas

It rarely snows in Texas. We get ice and sometimes sleet, but not really snow. What we usually get is just a tiny bit of snow mixed with mostly sleet, and is melted way before it hits the ground. Today, however it actually snowed for most of the day, and stuck. We had a blast playing in it! Brennan was mesmerized as he walked to the car when I picked him up this afternoon.

Hard to believe 2 days ago it was 75 degrees and we were wearing shorts. Crazy Texas weather!

22 on 22

Today Brennan turns 22 months old. As we close in on his 2nd birthday, it surprises me how quickly time is passing by. It seems that with each child it passes quicker and quicker. He is now in full blown terrible 2s. Gone are the days of my angelic baby, replaced by a demanding toddler. Since that means he is growing and healthy, I couldn't be happier. Unfortunately, he is sick today and had to come home early. Thankfully, he has been fine ever since. I am so glad it appears to be short lived.

1st Movie Night

I love family movie night. In fact, it is one of my favorite things we do as a family. The boys are always so snugly and sweet. We normally wait until the baby's bedtime and then put him to bed. Then the older 3 boys stay up and watch a movie with us. This time we let Brennan stay up too. He only lasted about half the movie before he got too squirmy and was put in bed. It was fun though to get to experience this with him for the 1st time. You can just tell by his face that he thinks he is big stuff.

"Not Me!" Monday

This week Brennan did not start climbing out of his crib. He is only 21 months old, and wouldn't he need to be at least 2 1/2 before he does something like that? If he had actually climbed out of the crib I would have immediately taken it down and put up the toddler bed. I am very safety conscious and am very prompt on that sort of thing. So it surely wasn't my toddler who climbed out of his crib and walked into his brothers room to wake them up this morning for the 5th straight day.

One of our cars died a few weeks ago, and we have been a 1 car family since then. My husband is a very on time kind of guy, so the one car situation wasn't making him late to work everyday. To rectify that situation we would never have driven to San Antonio yesterday to buy a new to us Suburban. That is over 3 1/2 hrs from home. Surely, we could have found a decent deal closer to home. So it wasn't us that ended up driving over 1/2 way home with the window rolled down in the cold, because it wouldn't roll back up. You see we rolled the windows up and down several times before we bought it so it wouldn't have been the very next time the window was rolled down that it stopped working.

Bryson has not been walking around singing:

Mud on your face, you big disgrace.

Kicking the can all over the place.

We will, we will ROCK YOU.

ROCK YOU!

Nor would I keep laughing hysterically everytime he does it (yes he sings kicking the can. Obviously he doesn't understand the song, but I think that makes it cuter). I guess he heard the song at an A&M basketball game, and it keeps getting in his head (and mine).
